A morning with Purely Byron
I believe that having a morning routine can you set you up for a productive day, whether that it is on a work day or weekend.
I often find myself not prioritising rest and feeling guilty if I’m not doing something. This year I decided to change that. I wanted to enjoy more mindful movement and taking this time for myself each morning.
Most mornings I set aside time to unwind and set a few intentions for the day ahead. By doing this I can end the day being able to reflect and know that i’ve achieved what I wanted to in that day.
When setting intentions, remember to make them realistic. It can be as simple as making time to go for a walk. There’s only so much we can do in a day so be kind to yourself and if you wake up feeling like you need a break, listen to your body and rest. Long term this will help you show up so much better in other aspects of your life.
I love to start my day in bed journaling. I find journaling so beneficial to me as it’s a time for reflection. It helps me check in with myself and how i’m feeling. If you’re someone that wants to start journaling I would highly recommend starting with a journal prompt a day and using this to structure the intention for your day.
I will then often do some form of movement whether that’s a walk or a yoga flow. By including some form of movement into my morning routine and getting out into nature, this makes me feel refreshed and motivated for the day ahead. I like to take this time to be aware with how i’m feeling that day and what I need to prioritise. Taking this time to yourself and enjoying your surroundings is so important to connect back with yourself.
On this particular day it was a Sunday. I love to go to the local farmers market and this day I was up in Noosa with my family. I love to get all my fresh produce for the week from here and discover new businesses and products.
One thing I also like to prioritise in my morning routine is my skincare. Lately I’ve been using the range by Purely Byron. I’ve been using there Divine Ritual Cleansing Oil, Native Sunrise Blend Moisturiser and the Divine Ritual Transforming Booster. By having a three step skincare routine I find my skin isn’t as dry and oily. In saying that, my skin definitely has moments. When investing in skincare products I always look for natural and cruelty free products which is why I love Purely Byron. There also an Australian owned business that is based in Byron Bay.
I like to end my morning routine by having some breakfast and going to the beach for a swim. I love using all the fresh fruit that I got from the farmers market to add into my muesli of a morning. When I’m away and by the beach I like to make the most of it as I find this instantly lifts my mood and makes me feel so refreshed.
Everyone is different. What works for one person may not work for another one. I think it’s important to know what keeps you grounded so when you’re stressed or anxious you have things that you know help you.
In a world that thrives off hustling and having to constantly be productive it can be exhausting. If you don’t listen to your body and rest, this will often lead to becoming burnt out. even if you schedule in 10 minutes each morning for you, this will make a huge difference in your week.
